Welcome to the e-Trading Standards and Regulatory Services Blueprint, which is part of an overall programme that aims to gradually develop the content available on the Custodian web site.

This Blueprint gives a focussed view of the content available in Custodian which is designed to assist Local Authority Officers who are tasked with improving their e-Trading Standards & Regulatory Service, as well as other interested parties, such as suppliers of software to those services, by giving them ready access to the range of standards (and the benefits of implementing those standards), good practice and learning that relate to their area of work.

Having been developed in collaboration with key stakeholders in local government (LACORS) together with relevant National Projects, in particular the PARSOL and e-Trading Standards national projects, this blueprint aims to support a number of Priority Service Transformation Outcomes, Best Value Performance Indicators and the National Performance Framework.

Welcome to the Planning Services Blueprint. This Blueprint is part of an overall programme which aims to gradually develop the content available on the Custodian web site. This blueprint gives a focussed view of the content available in Custodian which is relevant to Planning Services practitioners by giving them ready access to the range of standards (and the benefits of implementing those standards) and learning that relate to their area of work.

This blueprint has been developed in collaboration with key stakeholders in local & central government (ODPM, PARSOL national project.) It aims to support a number of Priority Service Transformation Outcome's, Best Value Performance Indicators and the National Performance Framework as well as adding value to and take-up of, supporting National Projects, in particular the PARSOL national project.

Smartcards Blueprint

Welcome to the Smartcards Blueprint.
This blueprint is a collation of all key information and emerging standards relating to smart cards.
It gives a focused view of the content available in Custodian which is relevant to those considering, designing, deploying or operating public sector smart card schemes. It provides ready access to a relevant range of learning and specifications/standards (and the benefits of implementing them). Specifications are a particular case in point because of the difficulty in selecting appropriate sets of standards that are fit for any particular use and that support interoperability.

This blueprint has been developed in collaboration with key stakeholders in local & central government (LASSeO, ITSO, National Smart Card Project, Government Connect project). It aims to support the two relevant Priority Service Outcomes (PSO G12 and E9) as well as adding value to the use of National Project products, in particular the national project SmartConnect outcomes.

This is the initial nucleus of information gathered to populate the Smart Card Blueprint. We will continue to develop this to include more relevant context and granularity so that it will evolve continuously, supported by Custodian and certification processes.

Terms used in the smart card world often have specific meanings and a basic Glossary was appended to most of the output from the National Smartcard project. LASSeO has taken this as a start point and has extended this to provide a common language for smart card users in the public sector.

It provides a range of information, guidance, case studies and standards relating to the social care of children and adults, and the management issues relating to operating systems that support the social care agenda.
