Approval and Assurance of Standards

LeGSB will not be approving standards at this stage but rather providing information so that the potential user can make a business decision as to whether they are going to make use of a standard.  Approval of public sector standards remains the role of GovTalk.

A standard may go through a LeGSB assurance process, to ensure that sufficient rigour has been applied during its development, and that it meets minimum requirements expected for its type.

This process will be 'self service' but Custodians can request a peer review or an independent assurance be carried out.
