Developing and Safeguarding Standards

A Custodian for each Standard

Once a standard is registered, then a Custodian will be required.

The Custodian should be a public sector body, including recognised support agencies or partners.

The Custodian will basically ‘look after’ the standard on behalf of LeGSB, and facilitate a forum by which LeGSB members can discuss the standard.  Additionally, a Custodian will have the opportunity to organise guidance for the implementation of the standard which could include documentation, training, seminars, consultancy, which would then be commercially provided to local authorities as an additional LeGSB service.

If you are interested in becoming a Custodian for a particular standard, please email info@legsb.gov.uk

Communities of Practice

Standards are developed, and enhanced, via Commuinities of Practice (CoP).  Typically, these CoPs already exist, and LeGSB asks them to ensure that their methods and outputs meet our guidlines for Communities of Practice.
